ディーラー店舗が多く立ち並ぶロードサイドにある、間口50Mの中古車店舗の一部をBYD店舗へ改修する計画です。
一般的なカーディーラーの店舗配置とは異なり、メイン道路からかなり引きを取った建物配置となっていたため、遠くからの視認性を求められました。また中古車店舗としての機能も残るため、BYDと中古車店のバランスを意識しつつ、BYDキューブの高さ・幅を決めました。
店舗内でメインとなるバックパネルの両サイドをガラスとし、仕上を繋げることで個室としての性能は維持しつつ、空間の繋がりを生み出しました。強調されたブラックライン・タイルの目地方向に沿うように車両の配置を計画し、引き込まれるような空間構成を目指しました。

The plan is to renovate part of a used car store into a BYD store located along a national highway lined with many dealership stores.
Unlike typical store layouts, the store was set back from the road considerably, so visibility from a distance was required.
The height and width of the BYD cube were determined with consideration for the balance between the BYD store and the used car store, as the used car store will continue to operate.
Both sides of the panel signage, which is the main part of the store, are made of glass to create a spatial connection while maintaining its performance as a private room.
We aimed to create a space composition that draws you in by arranging the vehicles along the direction of the joints in the highlighted black slender tile.
